THE VIP CARD CLUB: VIP STAKING
As members of The VIP Card Club know, we are committed to providing them with unrivalled service and benefits, helping them get the most out of their online play. As well as the many prizes and rewards we give out to our members, our Guides and Strategies and VIP Poker Training can add real value for them. The VIP Staking Programme provides our members with even more opportunities.
What is Staking?
Staking players in poker has been around almost as long as the game itself. Quite simply, a backer provides a player with a sum of money (a stake) to play poker with in exchange for a share of any winnings. This can be an arrangement for one tournament, a series of tournaments or an ongoing arrangement for tournaments and/or cash play.
Why stake a player?
The benefits for the backer are clear - it's just a form of investment. Obviously it's important to back a player with the potential to win and there's an element of risk, but the returns can be good.
Why be staked?
A winning poker player may choose to be staked for any number of reasons depending on the circumstances. Perhaps they have bad bankroll management or maybe they have an aversion to risk. They may want to "take a shot" at a tournament that they feel they will have an edge in - but with a higher buy-in than they can afford or be prepared to risk. There may be a cash game that they believe they can beat, but don't have the bankroll to play in.
About VIP Staking
We offer a variety of options on our staking programme. The terms of any deal are obviously dependant on many factors and have to be considered carefully by both parties. Our primary aim is to provide our members with opportunities they may not otherwise have and you don't have to already be a hugely successful player in order to be staked.
We consider all levels of player. We've backed experienced players looking for a one-time stake in large buy-in live tournament and we've dealt with relative beginners who need help to get started. Our staking programme is open to members only, but that is about the only stipulation. We invite anyone who may be interested in discussing a staking arrangement to talk to us.
Please send an e-mail to support@thevipcardclub.com (with VIP Staking as the subject) if you would like to find out more, or use our contact page. All discussions will be held in the strictest of confidence.
