About the courses
All of our courses are run by professional poker players who have proven track records in poker AND demonstrated their ability to coach and train. The best player in the world may not make a good teacher, but our trainers have the skills to impart their knowledge in a concise, logical and comprehensible manner to ensure attendees get the most out of these courses.
Each course will involve some interactivity which will give the professionals a chance to analyse your individual game. Wondering how to play pocket sevens in middle position on a loose table? Not sure how much to raise your aces on a scary board? The question and answer sessions at each event will give you the chance to ask about parts of your game that are bothering you.
We run three different courses for players at different stages of the game. No matter how much of a novice you are or how good you think you are we guarantee you can only benefit from these courses.
Improver Course
This course is useful for players relatively new to the game and more experienced players who want to reinforce their understanding of the basics of the game and apply a strategic approach to their play.
The content of this course includes use of position, use of aggression, hand reading, value betting, tells & table image, bankroll management and poker etiquette
Intermediate Course
This course is for players who have a solid understanding of the game of poker and the strategies involved - but recognise the need or desire for further improvement.
The content of this course is primarily interactive involving a more advanced look at the strategies and skills required to be a winning player.
Advanced Course
This is the course for strong players who have put some serious time and effort into developing their game already. It is probably best suited to winning players who want to take their game to another level - be that an increase in stakes or volume or hitting the pro circuit.
The content of this course is largely defined by the attendees. A predominantly interactive approach will involve looking at complex situations with a view to identifying and fixing leaks and problem areas.
Each one of our courses will involve a live tournament in the evening which all of the attendees are invited to enter for free. The trainers and any VIP Card Club representatives present will also be playing and there will be prizes for whoever knocks them out of the tournament. A trophy and a prize will also go the eventual winner.
The courses are designed to be a fun, social event as well as a learning tool. We look forward to seeing you at one soon!
