NEWS ARTICLE - JOHN PHAN - PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2008

John Phan's spectacular results in 2008 have deservedly seen him named Player of the Year by Card Player Magazine AND Bluff Magazine.

Phan's exceptional year included two WSOP bracelets and a WPT title. He took down the $3,000 WSOP No-Limit Hold ‘em event for his first bracelet - and $430,000 in prize money. The $2,500 2-7 Triple Draw event earned him his second bracelet and another $150,000.  Just weeks later, the Legends of Poker tournament saw him emerge victorious with his first WPT title and $1,000,000 in winnings.

John Phan is a Full Tilt Poker pro and he only narrowly missed on the Player of the Year award from Card Player Magazine in 2005.
