Tournament 3rd June - cancelled

Hi everyone,
I registered for this tourney, but notice it's been cancelled - what happens now do we (who were registered) get any points?

Thx, Nigel.

Hi Nigel,

If the tournament does not go ahead, there will be no points awarded.

Obviously we're very disappointed in the tournaments not going ahead. Although the league did not generate quite as much interest as we had hoped, we did expect to get the 50 minimum for each tournament.

We'll be reveiwing what's happened so far tomorrow and see if we need to make some changes.

We are grateful to those of you who have supported the league so far.

James

Can't understand why the league isn't getting the numbers required, what's wrong with everybody.
Maybe if the min requirement was dropped (or lowered, together with guaranteed prize money if need be), at least the games would go ahead,
don't think either cancelled game was far off the mark.

We're somewhat surprised too!!

We'll see how tonight's touney goes and then we'll be discussing some options tomorrow.

There'll be an email going around and probably an updat in the forums too.

Hi James

I regsistered for last night but not sure if it went ahead or not??

I agree with other posts, if the minimum entrants was lowered in line with the GTD prize pool then at least we'd have a decent tournament to play in.

You could always add the extra prizes money (if we do get the more than 50 required) into the weekly/monthly prizes??

I'm sure you guys are on the case but from the chat in the poker site it seems that there are plenty of people in the league who "just want to play poker". It may not be the $500 guaranteed that's enticing people, more the chance for the live final which is always a great fun event for lots of people that maybe haven't had the thrill of a large (ish) live event .

Anyways, that's my two-penneth for the day

Good luck at the tables all......

Matt,

Thanks for the feedback.

I've actually just made a pretty lengthy post regarding some options. Would be grateful if you have a look at let us know your thoughts. We'll be sending an email out to all registered players shortly to see what we can salvage from this season!!

We are really are doing our best to make sure that the players get what they want out of the league - while being reasonable about how much is "given away" by the us and bwin.
