Scoring Suggestions

One thing we have not yet decided on finally is a scoring system. Because we are expecting more people in each tournament, I don't think the system we use currently is going to work.

We've had a couple of suggestions already, and some ideas of our own. I want to keep it as simple as possible, while also being fair.

My favourite idea at the moment is that the you simply score a point for every person you finish above. For example, in a 100 runner tournament - 1st would get 99 points, 99th would get 1 point, 100th would get no points.

On top of this, you score a point for every $ in prize money.

Anyone with any thoughts, just let me know.

Hi James

This is similar to the way in which The CPBL live league was scored (which I guess you know ) and it worked very well for rewarding consistent play. So the points aren't too top loaded for the individual winners. The points for every $ won is good to so at least there is a decent differentiation between the places at the top. It seems fair that the winner should get more than 10 points in excess of someone who didn't make the final table.

A fairly long winded way of saying "I Like it"

Cheers

Matt
