Creating an online VIPCC team

Just wanted to put it out there is there anyone interested in starting a team at the lower stakes and building up applying good BRM (bankroll management)

This will include keeping detailed info of sessions and talking about hand histories, and other related information.

we are talking all games, but the importance being, playing within your bankroll. If we can get enough interest, players can form smaller teams and anaylise post play and share ideas to become more effective and better at the game

Hey Matt

No real interest on this, it seems like the poker community is dying a slow death, but Im more than happy for me and you to ping info back and forth and discuss hand histories.

We can post some on these forums to try and drum up some interest, but you can also email me jayquince@yahoo.co.uk

O and just to let you know a few of my friends started a yearly competition to see who could build the biggest roll in a year, we all started at the same amount, and using proper BRM (I might fail on this though, lol)

Again if you wanna get involved in this with us, again let me know and mail me

while that sounds like a great idea - I'm probably not good enough to compete yet

Played about 40k hands on RUSH this month and only broke even. Thank god for 27% RB!!

Think I need some serious DB analysis to work out why I've turned to crap recently. Biggest problem recently is the "i'm sure I'm behind but can't fold" syndrome!!

Well you have my email, and Im more than happy to look at hands for you and give you my take.

Now cos I havent really played too much 'Rush' poker on FT, I can only say that, everyone on there is probably playing like a nit, due to the way the game is designed. As such, a good HUD will defo help against calling against players, but a TAG attitude in my opinion would be the best way to approach this style of game.

So lots of RR, very little calling, if someone plays back at you '4bets' probably just release and move on. I dont think calling on Rush is the right way to play this, unless you hit 4* or better.

That said there are some interesting strats on Rush poker, some might be worth looking into.

And dont worry we aint nothing special with regards to our poker, its more of a motivation for all of us to stop us tilting, (mainly me, jumping up to the 10/20 and above), but its a good to measure your success against other like minded people that wish to increase their BRs, in a slow and steady fashion.

I've tried several diff stats at RUSH -

Nit - (do well to break even on this as the game is too tight in general so everyone folds to big bets

TAG - seems to be the way forward if i can manage to find the fold button a bit more often.

LAG - actually works very well, but i don't think my post flop skills are nearly good enough. Went about 10k hands on this with steep upward red and blue lines, then it all turned to shit

Maniac - again, i think this can work very well for someone with exceptional post flop skills.

Looking at HEM, the best hourly rate over a sample of more than 1k hands (which is all that really matters in rush - not too worried about ptbb/100) was just about 2.5 buy-ins per hour when running 25/23 with a 3b of 30% !!

Obviously this is an insane way to play if standard full ring, and variance is equally insane. What i've tried to to is combine the maniacle play with a nit strat - so pretty much play TT+ in UTG/+1, maybe let 66+ get in for the next couple, then pretty much raise any two in CO and BUT in an unopened pot.

Also, 3b any HJ or CO raise with any two from BUT.

Like I say, all me pre-flop strats seems to work exactly as i would want, i just get myself in bother post!! I'll through some HH and see if i can't pull out some examples of where i clearly played like a twat or where i just didn't know what to do
