> World Cup Tips and Thoughts

Be great to get a bit of discussion going about World Cup bets. I'm going to be putting down quite a lot of bets and will spending quite a lot of time looking for the best value.

It's hard to see past Spain or Brazil as outright winners in my opinion. Although, Holland could be the traditional "dark horse" and I'll definitely be backing them to make the top four.

Top goalscorer is an interesting one but there isn't massive value in any of the obvioust choices to be honest. Villa has to be a good shout, but he's only around 8 or 9s. I'll probably do a heart over head bet on Rooney of course! Messi never seems to turn it on for his country so will probably swerve him, and Torres is not appealing to me. Much as it pains me as a Spurs fan, I think Robin Van Persie for Holland could be worth a bit of punt, at around 25s.

I'll post more thoughts as the tournament approaches, and I'll probably be betting on most of the games as the tournament goes on.
