Very hard to know without seeing the other players hand

But maybe he could have tried another bet on the turn. He played the flop fine imo.

Hi there,

Im a big believer in, if you want to enter a pot then you have to put your opponent to a decision all the time.

Even though I dont think 'brigita76' played the hand badly, I think he could have put more pressure on his opponent from the start and then saved money at the end. (even though this example could cost him more but I hope you get the idea)

This is only my opinion and every one will have different ideas and ways to play such a hand.

First off being a heads up game and 'brigita' being the chip leader he should not have checked pre flop after 'Vitus5' just called. He should have made a small bet possibly 3x BB, this way if 'Vitus5' calls you can put him on a range on hands. Also this gives 'V5' something to think about after the flop comes down. The bet post flop is fine from 'B76' (but it would have to be more now). If he then gets re-raised you can assume that this isnt the hand you want to lose or gamble with, (or perhaps some people might), but the move is either all in or fold. You might say there are 8 outs but, if 'V5' has a spade draw you have less outs.

Basically What Im trying to say is to put more pressure on your opponent pre flop if you are going to play a hand, continue the pressure post flop with drawing hands, but know when your beaten, by not raising pre flop and a small bet post flop, you are left to make the tough decisions.

Hope this helps
